Linda Leigh Thomas, 60, of Quincy, passed away, Friday October 1, 2021 at home.
Funeral services for Linda Leigh Thomas will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Rick Nohr officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
She was born on January 31, 1961 in Coldwater to Robert and Phyllis (Munger) Rumsey. On February 14, 1997, Linda married Dennis Edward Thomas and he survives.
Linda graduated from Coldwater High School in 1979. She worked her whole career as a Nurse’s Aide for 30 years at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility. Linda loved to participate in charity work. She would be in walks for breast cancer, Beginning Care for Life, and she was also a long-time supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also loved spending time with her family and volunteering at her granddaughter’s preschool.
In addition to her husband, Dennis, Linda is survived by two daughters, Melissa Adams of Coldwater, Carrianne Thomas of Quincy; three sons, Dereck Mobley of Coldwater, Bradley (Kayla) Mobley of Elkhart, Indiana, Ridge Morrison of Middlebury, Indiana; one sister, Janice (Gary) Poush of Dearborn; one brother, David (Shary) Rumsey of Coldwater; one granddaughter, Eloise Adams and three sister’s-in-law, Deana (Curtis) Stephens of Quincy, Debbie Bouchard of Paw Paw and DeLinda (Robert) Sprow of Avondale, Arizona.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Robert Rumsey and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lowell and Carolyn Thomas.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
