COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After serving in city government since 1983, Aloha Miller announced on Monday night she was retiring as the Coldwater Planning Commission Chair.
She said near the end of the Planning Commission meeting she was having a hard time hearing even though she was wearing hearing aids.
Miller had already turned in her resignation to Mayor Tom Kramer. Aaron Garn was named as her successor. A Vice Chair is expected to be named during next months Planning Commission meeting.
Miller served on the Coldwater City Council between 1983 and 1999 during which time she was the Mayor Pro Tem between 1994 and 1997. She began serving as Planning Commission Chair in ’97.
Besides her work for the city, Miller was a math and science teacher in the Coldwater Community School District between 1972 and 2010.
