Bobby Bernard Bassage Jr., 74, of Quincy passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at his home in Quincy.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 12 noon at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A burial of ashes will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater.
The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
He was born July 22, 1947 to Bobby B. and Enola M. (Vaughn) Bassage Sr. in Coldwater, MI. He had been employed as a welder for over 20 years with Rudd in Sturgis, MI. Bob was an outdoorsman finding joy in hunting and fishing.
He always liked to catch a good ball game especially Michigan State or Green Bay Packers football along with the Detroit Tigers; but above all, Bobby loved his grandchildren. He was a fun loving man that always put his family first and will be dearly missed as a father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
Bob is survived by his children Mike (Lisa Thorp) Bassage of Hillsdale, Mark (Tracy) Bassage of Coldwater, Dawn (Danny Weaver) Poley of Girard, Trina (John) Searl of Mendon, Tanner Bassage of Quincy; his siblings Edith Patterson of Quincy, Jenie Bullard of Coldwater, Gary Bassage of Batavia, Larry (Connie White) Bassage Bronson; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and his many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a beautiful angel his daughter Michelle Combs, and his son-in-law Bob Combs.
Memorial donations are suggested to the family.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
