COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A man with a criminal history that goes back to 2006 will spend some more time in the Michigan Department of Corrections after he was sentenced last week in Branch County Circuit Court.
37-year-old Robert Richard Reichle was ordered to serve between 9 1/2 and 25 years in prison after entering a guilty plea to a charge of child sexually abusive activity. He also was given a concurrent sentence of 22 months to four years after he admitted his guilt to a charge of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
All other charges were dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for the guilty pleas.
Reichle was charged following a Michigan State Police investigation into March of 2020 sex crimes which involved a young girl in Quincy.
He was on probation in Saginaw County for attempted possession of weapons by a felon when he was arrested on the Branch County case.
Reichle previous convictions for assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal sexual conduct and possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material.
He is currently serving a prison sentence of 34 months to 10 years out of Bay County after entering a no contest plea to third degree fleeing from a police officer.
