JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Legg Middle School seventh grade volleyball teams split their matches with Jackson Northwest on Tuesday night.
The A team defeated Northwest 25-18 25-15 16-9. Legg was led at the service line by Khloe Wohlgamuth 9-9 with 1 ace followed by Aubrey Gebbink 6-6 with 2 aces, Camryn Cockrell 5-5, Khloe Tyler 3-3 1 ace, Brooklyn Closson 10-12 with 6 aces, T.K. Boyd 9-10 with 5 aces, Kaitlyn Senyk 7-8 with 4 aces, Isabella Angevine 3-4 1 ace, Juliana Cowles 4-6 & Suri Stout 1-2 1 ace. In the backrow Gebbink lead the way with 9 digs, Senyk with 7 digs, Stout & Wohlgamuth 5 digs each, 4 digs for Tyler & 3 digs each for Cokrell & Cowles. T.K. Boyd & Brooklyn Closson both had 4 kills followed by Kaitlyn Senyk & Juliana Cowles 2 kills each.
The B team lost to Northwest in three games. After winning the first game 25-15, Legg dropped the next two 15-25, and 15-17. Leading the Cards in serving was Ella Thompson serving 16/17 6 aces, Marie Powers 9/13, 7 aces, Savannah Hayward 5/7, 3 aces, Kinley Brown 5/6, 1 ace, and Aivry Chavez 3/3
