QUINCY TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police troopers are investigating a Monday night crash in Quincy Township which killed two horses and critically injured a pedestrian.
The crash was reported at about 7:30 p.m. in the 600 block of North Briggs Road near Strang Road.
Troopers report a north bound vehicle was passing the two pedestrians with horses when a south bound vehicle crossed over the center line and struck the north bound vehicle as well as the horses.
One of the pedestrians is in critical condition. The occupants from the suspect vehicle fled the scene and have not yet been located.
State Police say speed and alcohol are assumed to be contributing factors.

Life Care Ambulance and the Quincy Fire Department were also dispatched to the scene of the crash.
