COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Administrator Bud Norman told the Board of Commissioners during their work session on Thursday that the county has requested disaster aid assistance of over $72,000 from the State of Michigan following the August 12 storm.
Norman said the State has acknowledged receiving the request.
The Quincy Village Council passed a resolution last week that calls for the village to seek over $162,000 in a State of Michigan Disaster Contingency Fund Grant to help pay for the August 12 damages.
The village was hard hit by a pair of storms on August 6 and 12.
The City of Coldwater is planning to request over $144,000 from the state for storm cost reimbursement.
