BRONSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 25-year-old man from Sturgis has been arrested following a Friday afternoon armed robbery in Bronson Township.
Branch County Sheriff’s Department Undersheriff Keith Eichler says it happened at about 2:30 p.m. and that the victim was a Bronson Township woman.
He says their investigation found that the robbery took place at gun point and that an undisclosed amount of money was taken.
A description of the suspect and vehicle was broadcast to units and adjoining Counties and jurisdictions.
The suspect was apprehended following a pursuit and foot chase.
He was lodged in the St. Joseph County Jail following a joint Investigation by Sturgis Police, the Michigan State Police K-9 unit and Branch County Sheriff’s Deputies.
The suspect has been lodged in on numerous felony charges and outstanding warrants issued by authorities in St. Joseph County.
Friday’s robbery is still under investigation by the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
