LANSING, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce and the Quincy Chamber of Commerce were recently honored by the Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals.
Both Chambers were presented with the 2021 Award of Distinction at the association’s Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting last Friday.
Association Chair Joe Bauman mentioned how the Coldwater Chamber kept restaurants open through the Takeout Tuesday Program when in person dining was banned by the State of Michigan due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bauman also said they were a resource in informing community about changes in government regulations, safety protocol, and funding relief sources.
The Quincy Chamber along with the Village of Quincy also were awarded the award of distinction for their Market 1858, Quincy Lights as well as all the events they do.
Michigan Chamber of Commerce Chief Operating Officer Bob Thomas said, “Despite facing changes to their own business models and losing event revenue and dues investments from members going out of business, The Coldwater and Quincy Chambers actually grew through finding chambers innovative ways to deliver programming.”
The Michigan Association of Chamber Professionals is the industry association for over 300 chambers in Michigan.
