COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Southern Michigan Bank and Trust President Kurt Miller has announced the promotion of Eric Anglin to the position of Executive Vice President Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Business Development.
Anglin has 23 years of banking and leadership experience including the past 11 years with Southern.
According to a news release from the bank, his new responsibilities will include working with the executive team to identify and execute corporate-wide initiatives and ensure their timely implementation.
He will have a central role in project management leadership, bank process improvement efforts, and COVID response team leadership.
Anglin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management from Tiffin University in 1998.
In addition to his banking experience, Anglin has been an active board member of United Way for over twenty years in Ohio and in Branch County, serving as treasurer for most of those years.
Miller said, “Eric is an outstanding banker with expertise in a variety of disciplines. His new position will allow him to have a broader impact on the bank overall, and we look forward to his leadership.”
Anglin lives in Coldwater with his wife, Nicole and their daughter. He coaches his daughter’s softball teams and enjoys following her many other activities as a family.
