BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The latest COVID-19 statistics posted Monday by the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency show the 58 new cases that were reported over the last three days has put the number of Branch County cases over the 6,000 mark since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020.
According to the agency, there have been 6,002 Branch County cases along with 113 deaths associated with the virus.
Hillsdale County has had 5,709 cases and 124 deaths while St. Joseph County has had 7,597 cases along with 121 deaths.
Statewide, over one-point-one million Michigan residents have tested positive for the virus in the last 20 months with over 22,000 deaths.
Branch County remains at a high risk level for the spread of COVID-19 because of the weekly cases per 100,000 of 402.1 which is well above the threshold of 100 and the test positivity of rate of 24 percent which is above the threshold of 10 percent for the week of October 24-31.
