PORTAGE, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Varsity Girls Swim and Dive team finished eighth at the SMAC conference championship hosted by Portage Central on Friday and Saturday.
Charlotte Calhoun and Jillian McKinley earned All-Conference honors for the Cardinals.
Calhoun won the diving competition on Saturday, breaking her own team record with a 385.85 points. McKinley won the 50 Free, also breaking her own team record with a 24.09. She also finished second in the 100 Butterfly.
Randi Dudek was sixth in the 50 Free and seventh in the 100 Free. Anna DeMeester was tenth in the 100 Breast. Legend Szafranski was 17th in both the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Ayla McCowan was 20th in both the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Marisa Roberts was 23rd in the 100Fly.
All the A and B relays qualified into Saturday’s events.
The 200 Medley A relay team was the 13th. The B relay was 18th.
In the 200 Free relay the A relay of McKinley, DeMeester, Masyn Marsh and Dudek finished second. The B relay team finished 17th. In the 400 Free relay the A relay finished 11th. The B relay finished 17th.
