FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Two persons were arrested by the St. Joseph County Sheriffs Department on Thursday night after they say drugs and a weapon were found inside of a vehicle during a traffic stop.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite says deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective equipment violation at Klinger Lake Road near Scattered Acres
Lane.
The driver was identified as a 25-year-old woman from Centreville. The passenger was identified as a 44-year-old Centreville man.
Lillywhite says 21 grams of methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and a handgun was located inside the vehicle.
Both occupants were arrested and lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail.
Their charges include possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, carry concealed weapon, felony firearm, and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police officers.
