Linda M. Hunnaman, 81, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her home.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Sorter Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church officiating.
The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Linda was born July 11, 1940 to Felix and Icy Mae (Fitts) Rurka in Coldwater. She was a Coldwater resident her entire life. Linda worked at Southern Michigan Bank & Trust for 21 years, starting as a Teller and her last 15 years as a Supervisor.
July 11, 1959 she married the love of her life, Burlin Hunnaman, Sr. in Coldwater. He preceded her in death February 9, 2015.
Linda enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and reading romance novels. Linda was an avid NASCAR fan following Bill Elliott and more recently Kasey Kane. Watching Western’s on television and listening to Elvis were on her list of favorites. You always knew where you stood with Linda, as she told it like it was whether good or bad.
Linda is survived by her children LuAnn (Shaun) Massey of Coldwater, Tina Nichols of Florida, Bonnie Hunnaman of Coldwater, and Sherri (Fred) VanEvey of Coldwater; her brothers Bobbie (Pam) Rurka of Coldwater and Roger Rurka of Hillsdale; her grandchildren Emilee & Jason Hudson, Nick & Megan Cross, Jeffery (Sara) & Christopher Nichols, Phillip Everett, Logan, Shaiann & McKenna Hunnaman, Alex (Emily), and Jacob & Taylor VanEvey; her great grandchildren Devon, Kohen & Braylon Hudson, Maize & Milo Cross, Kaylyn & Wyatt Butcher, and Madeline Nichols; her best friend Kathy Bumgardner; and her dog “Kane”.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Burlin, Sr., her sons Phillip and Burlin, Jr. Hunnaman; her brother Bernard Rurka; and her sister Bonnie Rurka.
