CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings saw their volleyball season come to an end at the hands of the Watervliet Panthers in an MHSAA Division 3 Regional Semifinal match at Centreville.
Bronson took the first game 25-23, then dropped the next two games 25-22 and 25-14. Karissa Gest, who was hurt during last Thursday’s district final and played back row only in the first three games, started in the front row for the fourth game and helped rally the Vikings to a 25-17 victory. The Panthers scored the first four points of the fifth game and held off Bronson 15-13 to take the match 3 games to 2.

The Vikings conclude their season with a 37-13-1 record. Watervliet improved to 30-9 and will take on Kalamazoo Christian Thursday night in the Regional Final at Centerville, after the Comets eliminated Decatur 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-22).
