BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Dense freezing fog rolled into Branch County during the overnight hours which led to tricky driving conditions for the Wednesday morning commute.
Not only did drivers had to slow down for the fog but they also had to look out for deer as they are running right now in the days before firearms hunting season.
Early morning temperatures dropped to 30 degrees which created some scattered slick conditions.
The fog started to move in just after 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
Visibilities at the Branch County Memorial Airport dropped to less than a quarter mile at around 4:30 a.m. as the entire area was placed under a Dense Fog Advisory by the National Weather Service.
School districts in Coldwater, Quincy and Bronson had to delay the start of classes for a couple of hours because of the dense fog.
