BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Police in Coldwater and Quincy continue to investigate a rash of vehicle break ins that took place within an hour of each other during the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 2.
Quincy Police Chief Jeremy Burch told the Quincy Village Council on Tuesday night the break ins took place along Jefferson, Bennett and Pleasant Streets.
Coldwater Deputy Police Chief Patrick Beeman said two weeks ago that thieves broke into six parked cars in the second ward.
According to police, thieves targeted unlocked cars that were parked in driveways. The Coldwater thieves made off with mostly loose cash and change, but two wallets were also stolen.
Two suspects in the Quincy thefts were described as being about five-feet-11 inches tall and athletic.
