Beverly J. Peck, 91, of Burlington Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at The Villa at Winston Court in Marshall.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Burlington Church of God with Pastor David Rails officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Beverly was born June 19, 1930 in Battle Creek, Michigan to William and Pearl (Clark) Reimer. She grew up in Tekonsha and attended school there. On September 16, 1949 she married Leo Peck in Tekonsha. The couple made their home in Burlington and spent their post-retirement winters at a campground in Lake Wales, FL. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage until Leo’s death in 2017.
During her working years, Beverly was employed at Great Lakes Bank, where she was head teller. Additionally, she worked at Probasco’s Fabrics, a perfect fit for someone who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, making crafts, painting and ceramics. She also belonged to a book club.
Over the years, Beverly was deeply involved at her church, the Burlington Church of God, serving as both the treasurer and the choir director. She liked participating in ladies’ luncheons and playing BINGO. She was also very active at the Lake Wales campground. She enjoyed life and loved to laugh.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Beverlen Coy of Battle Creek, Denise (Eric) Hinshaw of Lake Wales, FL and Fawn (Heath) Elwen of Galesburg; her brothers, William “Bill” (Dorothy) Reimer of Tekonsha and Gary (Judy) Reimer of Battle Creek; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Leo, Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Francis Peck (2017) and Ronnie Peck (2013); a son-in-law, Joe Coy (2016) and a daughter-in-law, Vera Peck (2021).
