Kim Brown, 69, of Quincy, passed away November 18, 2021 at Oaklawn Hospital from complications of Covid.
There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Quincy American Legion Post 157.
Donations can be made in Kim’s honor to the Quincy Golf Course for a tree to be planted in Kim’s memory or to the Quincy American Legion.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
Kim was born on April 29, 1952 to Jack and Ruth (Herl) Brown. He married Sue Brown on June 22, 1974 and she survives.
Kim owned his own construction company before retiring, a job he truly loved. He was an avid golfer and entertained everyone who had the pleasure of being his golf partner. Kim was kind, compassionate, loving and sometimes stubborn, but he loved his family and friends. “Choir Practice” was the highlight of his week. He will be long remembered for his sense of humor.
In Addition to his wife, Susan, Kim is survived by one son, Tyler (Melinda) Brown; one daughter, Jami (McKinley); children he was blessed with later in life, Beth Campbell, Dave Hulburt; brothers, Rex (Regina) Brown, Lee (Darlene) Brown, Jay (Carey) Brown; sisters, Jackie (Dale) Smith, Linda (Mike) Clemenson; sisters-in-law, Bev Gallaway, Pam Brown, Ethel McClelland and brother-in-law, Vernon Crandall. Kim loved his grandchildren deeply, Raven Brown, Kaden Erickson, Landen Maddox and Keira Brown.
In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan Brown and brother, Don Brown.
