COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three candidates have expressed an interest in filling a vacancy on the Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education.
Former Board member James Hiscock, Jessica Singer and Bob Steel will be interviewed by the board during a special meeting next Monday night.
The deadline for filing an application for the board opening was Monday at 4:00 p.m..
The vacancy was created on November 5 when Steve Rutz resigned. He was recently appointed as Branch County Treasurer.
Whoever is selected to fill the board vacancy will serve out the balance of the term which will run through December 31, 2022.
The seat will re-open for the November 2022 election at which time, the seat will be for a six year term which will start on January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2028.
