Rose Anna King, 51, of Tekonsha, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from an auto accident.
The funeral service will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Tree’s Church in Girard with Pastor Matt Jones officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Rose was born May 11, 1970 in Marshall, MI, the daughter of Mark & Carol (Ryan) Updegrove. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1988 and earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kellogg Community College. Rose married Todd A. King on September 15, 1990.
Rose worked in child care for many years and most recently was the late shift manager at Taco Bell in Coldwater. She was a member of Tree’s Church and had formerly attended the Coldwater Free Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and provided child care.
Rose enjoyed listening to music. She was the most giving person with a huge heart for taking care of others. Rose enjoyed spending time with family and friends but her greatest joy was being a mom.
Rose is survived by her husband Todd, her children Jaison King and April King both of Tekonsha; her mother Carol Updegrove of Battle Creek, her birth father Malvin(Peggy) Moreno of Ocala, FL; siblings Ami (Don) Patterson, Melissa Lytle both of Tennessee, Dorothy (Christopher) Ramsey-Owen of Battle Creek, Charles (Brandy) Moreno of Texas, Don Moreno, Toby Moreno and Aimee (Steven) Powell all of Florida; her grandmother Rose Ryan of Battle Creek and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her adopted father Mark Updegrove, grandfather Richard Ryan, step father Lenord Ramsey, grandparents Faustino (Emma) Moreno and Betty (William) Updegrove.
