Lawrence “Larry” Michael Pabian, 71, of Coldwater passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at his home.
A funeral service will take place at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. In following Larry’s wishes, cremation will take place after the service.
Lawrence was born February 24, 1950 to John and Stella (Czapski) Pabian in Dearborn, MI. He was a high school graduate. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam War while stationed in Korea.
On November 10, 1972 he married the love of his life, Deborah Murphy in Dearborn Heights.
Upon leaving the Army in 1975, he took a position at Ford Motor Company working there for 33 years before retiring. Larry and Debbie moved to Coldwater on a full-time basis this past summer.
Larry was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He tried to listen or watch as many games as possible his entire life. Larry was a former member of the Dearborn American Legion. He enjoyed lake living and being on a boat as well as the occasional trip to the casino. Larry will be remembered for being funny, helpful to all, and his generosity. His true joy in life was being devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Debbie Pabian of Coldwater; his children Jeff (Brandee) Pabian of Coldwater, Kelly Pabian of Coldwater, and Jenny (Jim) Wilenius of Garden City; his siblings Ken Pabian of Livonia and Audrey (Wally) Kowalewski of Canton, MI; his grandchildren Jarin and Jaylin Wilneius; his best friend Larry Mucker; many nieces & nephews; and his dog “Meeka”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Jim Pabian.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County.
