COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – As part of Giving Tuesday, the Branch County Community Foundation is encouraging donations to over 20 different local Branch County and Colon area organizations for the second year in a row.
Community Foundation Executive Director Erica Heminger, says, “We are thrilled to be a part of the yearly Giving Tuesday campaign that brings so much awareness and support to our local non-profits. We are excited to offer the convenience of an online giving platform. It is so important that we continue to support our local nonprofits and keep charitable gifts local. All of the organizations we are partnering with are doing such important work and offer so much value back into our community.”
This year, the Community Foundation’s goal for Giving Tuesday is to receive $10,000 in donations to the organizations in our community. To help reach this goal, the Foundation will offer a $2,000 grant directly for operating expenses to the organization who receives the most participation from their donors. The winning organization will be announced on Wednesday.
