JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, IN (WTVB) – A popular restaurant for decades on Old U.S. 27 just south of the Michigan-Indiana border will be closing its doors for good later this month.
Clay’s Family Restaurant near Lake George announced on it’s Facebook page Wednesday that they will be closing forever on December 18 at 2:00 p.m..
The restaurant known for its home cooked meals and popular selection of pies opened in 1950.
Clay’s has been owned by Jack Baker and his family since the mid 1970’s.
They stated on the restaurant’s Facebook page, “We have met a lot of great people over the years and we will miss all of you. It is time for us to dedicate more time to ourselves and our family. Thank you for a wonderful 46 years.”
The property has been for sale in recent months with a real estate listing price of over $359,000.
