Floyd T. Lothamer, 77, of Quincy, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at his home.
Visitation for Floyd Lothamer will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy. A celebration of life with military honors will immediately follow at the Quincy American Legion.
Per his request, cremation will take place and there will be no graveside services.
He was born January 11, 1944, in Marshall to Joseph and Ona (Boone) Lothamer. He married Donna Norton in November 1966 and she preceded him in death in 2008.
Floyd attended Quincy schools and served his county in the US Army from 1963-1966 during Vietnam era where he served in Germany. He was also a member of the Quincy American Legion where he could be found every night at 6:00 PM. Floyd loved spending time at the Quincy Diner and anywhere there was family and friends.
He is survived by three children, Thomas (Angela) Lothamer, John Lothamer and Dawn Lothamer; grandchildren, Rose, Isaiah, Sebastian, Aiden and Kendlynn; sisters, Betty Bean and Theresa Benjamin; five step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is preceded in death by his parents; brothers; Paul, Donald, Robert, David, Alfred, Edward and James Lothamer; and sisters, Shirley Licht, Linda Clark, and MaryAnn Flynn.
