UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) -The Union City Fire Department has announced its end of the year awards and promotions.
Fire Chief Scott Stevens honored Firefighter Travis Allen as the department’s firefighter of the year, Steven King was honored as the Officer of the year and Clayton Crandall was named the rookie of the year.
In addition, Scott Robey was promoted to Assistant Fire Chief, John Glant was promoted to Captain and Travis Allen was promoted to Lieutenant.
The Union City Fire Department added nine new members in 2021 and has reached the highest number of staff members in years.
