BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings finished second while the Coldwater Cardinals went 2-3 on Saturday at the Clark Walker Memorial Tournament in Bronson.
The annual tournament is named after a former state champion Bronson wrestler who lost his life while serving his country in the Vietnam War in 1967.
The host Vikings went 4-1. They defeated White Pigeon 54-12, Milan 71-12, Niles Brandywine 54-21 and Lawton 51-25 before losing to Edwardsburg in the finals 49-28.
The Cardinals defeated Saranac 54-12 and Milan 48-30. They lost Lawton 58-15, to Edwardsburg 69-9 and to White Pigeon 51-28.
Coldwater’s Tre Miller went 5-0 on the day while teammates Deegan Herlan, Maverick Johnson, and Chris Mobley went 3-2.
