COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities has announced they recently upgraded 155 lamps along U.S. 12 with LED lights.
The lamps that were upgraded are between Clay and Wright Streets.
Crews replaced 101 lamps with 150 Watt High-Pressure Sodium bulbs to 80 Watt Light Emitting Diode.
The other 54 lamps were upgraded from 250 Watt HPS bulbs to 120 Watt LED lights.
It was estimated by the utility that these changes will result in annual savings of about 82,000 kilowatt hours and estimated annual energy and labor savings of $13,900.
