COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Winter Fest takes place this Saturday in Coldwater and organizers have added some new events after last year’s Winter Fest had to be scaled back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This will be the third year Winter Fest has been put on by the City of Coldwater.
Julie Santure, who is the Community Enrichment Director from the City of Coldwater, says one of the new events will be cardboard sled racing at Kiwanis Hill in Heritage Park.
All of the sleds have to be made out of cardboard and tape.
Santure says Winter Fest will feature plenty of downtown activities between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m..
Warming stations will be set up at several downtown businesses.
Following Winter Fest, Snow on Monroe will be held for the first time.
Snow on Monroe will be the wintertime version of Hops on Monroe and it will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m..
Snow on Monroe will feature food trucks, horse drawn carriage rides, music from Mello Productions and Michigan craft beers.
