Nancy Lee Holbrook, 76 of Coldwater passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
A private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Chittick of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. The family will have a celebration of at a later date this summer. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Nancy was born June 27, 1945 to Billy and Beatrice (Shlumyer) Richardson in Coldwater. She was a 1962 graduate of Coldwater High School. On Feb 10, 1961 she married the love of her life, Gary Holbrook at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Coldwater. Nancy was a hardworking woman, spending most of her career as the office manager of Holbrook & Son Construction.
Nancy was a woman of strong faith and a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was an avid trap and sports shooter and a member of both the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association) and the MTA (Michigan Trapshooting Association). Nancy and Gary also traveled to Florida, where they both relaxed and entered shooting competitions. Nancy won many shooting events over the years. Nancy also enjoyed spending time reading and crafting.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gary Holbook, Sr. of Coldwater; her mother Beatrice Richardson of Coldwater; her children Gary “Butch” (Darlyn) Holbrook, Jr. of Bronson, Darlene Grove of Summerville, SC, and Brenda (Marty) Miller of Clarkston; her sister Linda Wood of Coldwater; her grandchildren Danielle (Steven) Peeples, Elisha Grove-Rayman, Sarah (Kaleb Lauri) Holbrook, and Mason (Nicky James) Miller; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; and her son-in-law Mike Grove.
