BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s Lady Cardinals scored the final nine points of the game on Friday as they won at Harper Creek 31-25 in a Interstate 8 girls basketball contest.
Coldwater trailed 25-22 late in the fourth quarter before Elli Foley converted an old fashioned three point play to tie game.
Cara Miller then hit a perimeter jumper with just under two minutes to play to put the Cardinals in front to stay.
Foley converted four straight free throws in the final ten seconds to complete the scoring and improved Coldwater’s record to 6-4 overall and 4-3 in league play.
Foley led the way with 10 points and and nine rebounds while Anna DeMeester added 9 points.
Ellie Anderson had a game high 10 rebounds.
Coldwater will host Grand Ledge in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
