GILEAD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Two campers and a shed were destroyed in a Gilead Township fire early Saturday morning.
Bronson firefighters were dispatched at 6:45 a.m. to the area of Rubley and Snow Prairie Roads.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says there were three campers on the property, two of which were completely destroyed. The third had minimal fire damage. A shed was also completely destroyed.
Wilber says no one was on the property when they arrived.
The fire was noticed by someone in the area of Slisher and Snow Prairie Roads.
Wilber reports it had been burning for sometime. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Branch County Sheriff’s Department also responded. Damages are estimated at $8,000 for the campers and shed, and $1,000 for contents.
No injuries were reported. Crews cleared the scene at 8:15 a.m..
