QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles hosted the 26th annual Cockrell Memorial Invitational on Saturday as Quincy finished fifth in the 16 team field.
Jacob Reif won the 125 pound Champion and was voted tournament MVP by the 16 coaches in attendance. He beat the #1 seed and the 5th ranked wrestler in the state in Division 4 to win his first Cockrell Memorial Invitational in front of the home crowd.
Gavin Peet was the 171 pound runner-up. He was seeded 4th and knocked off the #1 seed on his way to the finals, before ultimately taking 2nd.
Davin George was the 189 pound runner-up and freshman Caleb Rose was fourth at 112 pounds.
