BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson has lifted the boil water advisory issued last Saturday night after water samples came back negative for the presence of bacteria.
As required during a boil water advisory, the City performed lab samples for two consecutive days. Both of the tests came back negative and the advisory was lifted at around noon.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the advisory was a precautionary measure when an equipment failure at the water tower resulted in a drop in pressure in the city’s water supply.
Mersman stated, “The health and safety of our citizens has always been a top priority. We understand this has been an inconvenience for many, but our crews have done everything in their power to correct the issue. Our staff has plans in place to prevent a similar situation in the future and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience.”
