COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The short handed Coldwater girls basketball team could not come back from a 19-2 deficit at the end of the first quarter as they lost at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium to Grand Ledge 57-33 in a non-conference game on Tuesday night.
The Cardinals were able to dress nine players for the game.
Grand Ledge utilized full court pressure and dominance on the offensive glass to jump out to a big first quarter lead and were never threatened.
Elli Foley led Coldwater with 11 points while Emma Porter added eight points.
The loss dropped Coldwater’s record to 6-5.
Grand Ledge also won the J.V. game 43-22. Cece Velazquez led Coldwater with six points.
