ADAMS TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – 58th District Republican State Representative Andrew Fink said Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s virtual State of the State speech on Wednesday night was “just another Zoom meeting that could have been an email – lacking majorly in pertinent information our residents want to hear from her about.”
He joined fellow Republicans in saying they needed to hear more about what her plans are to make Michigan more competitive.
Fink added citizens across his district agree that state taxes for middle-class Michigan residents are too high and that Michigan property taxes are well above the national average thus making other states far more attractive.
He said in a statement released by his office that,“our small businesses are forced to endure burdensome taxes on top of everything else they have gone through over the past two years. Our job providers are the key to economic recovery, and they need real relief in the form of lowered taxes to succeed.”
