QUINCY TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says safety restraints combined with airbag deployments minimized injuries to both drivers in a two vehicle head one crash at around 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning in Quincy Township.
The Sheriff’s Departments says the crash happened on Williams Drive west of Ray Quincy Road.
Deputies along with Quincy Fire Rescue found two passenger cars had struck each other head on with one driver unconscious when they arrived.
According to the Sheriff’s Department investigation, 17 year old Emily Snell of Quincy was west bound on Williams Drive when she rounded a curve and was struck head on by another passenger car that was left of center.
The east bound passenger car was driven by 63 year old Madeline Rafferty of Quincy.
Rafferty was transported by Reading Ambulance to the emergency room at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital with minor injuries. Deputies issued a citation to Rafferty for driving left of center, causing accident.
Branch County Sheriff Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Reading Ambulance Service and Quincy Fire Department Rescue.
