COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals girls basketball used a stingy defense on Tuesday night to defeat the Three Rivers Wildcats 47-22 in a non-conference game at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
After Coldwater led 16-9 after the first quarter, they pitched a shutout in the second period as they outscored the Wildcats 8-0 to take a 24-9 halftime lead. Coldwater then used a 9-2 third quarter to extend their lead to 33-11.
Elli Foley had the hot hand for the Cardinals as she poured in a game-high and career-high 21 points thanks to four first half buckets from beyond the arc. Mallory Wilber had nine points and ten rebounds as the Cardinals improved to 8-5.

Three Rivers defeated Coldwater in the JV game 29-25. Olivia Uren led the Cardinals with six points.
