BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Thursday was a dig out day around Branch County after the first major snowstorm of the season.
Almost as much snow fell on Wednesday as had been reported all winter as several areas reported double digit snowfall.
Reports from around Branch County and the nearby area indicated between eight and 10 inches of snow fell during the Wednesday storm.
One listener in Sherwood reported getting 12 inches of snow.
National Weather Service forecasters were predicting earlier this week Branch County could get between 10 and 20 inches of snow.
They lifted a Winter Storm Warning for Michigan counties early Thursday morning after the snowfall dissipated.
