ALBION, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Bowling teams split with Big 8 rival Homer on Monday at University Lanes. The Orioles won the boys match 18-12 but lost the girls match 26-4.
In boys action, Quincy jumped out early taking baker play 172-160 and edging out Homer 181-180 to capture all 10 points. Singles action was all Quincy in game one. Quincy was led by Brady Harper who started off hot shooting the front 7 finishing with a 253. Harper followed it up with a 195 in game two. Carson White shot a 171 and Dave Milliman had a 169 to wrap up scoring in game 1. Quincy took overall to secure the early win. Milliman had the only point in game 2.
In girls action Homer hung on to take baker play by just 12 pins overall [110-116, 103-109]. In singles action Quincy was led on the night by Natalee Craig shooting career high games and series with a 172 and 153. Also scoring for the Orioles was Kaitlyn Otis with a 125 and Madison Wineland with a 124. Wineland went on to shoot a 180 but fell short as her opponent shot a 199.
