COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater’s bowling teams split with Parma Western in a Interstate 8 Conference match on Tuesday night at Midway Lanes.
The Girls Varsity continued to show the way in the I-8 conference as they defeated the Panthers 27 to 3.
Coldwater won both regular games, 688 to 529 and 682 to 596, and took totals 1370 to 1125. The girls dominated both Baker games, 151 to 95 and 148 to 93, taking totals 299 to 188.
The Cardinals were led by Lily Cook with a 178, Violet Waltke fired a 162 and Dezirae Kling rolled a 153.
The Boys Varsity struggled again, coming up a little short, dropping their contest 17 to 13.
They lost both regular games, 774 to 888 and 763 to 893 and totals 1537 to 1781. They tried to come back in the Baker games, winning both 177 to 151 and 157 to 119, taking totals 334 to 270.
Coldwater was led by Seniors Ryan Sturgeon with a 178, Chance Cook with a 167 and Junior Austin Johnson with a 163.
The JV bowled a split squad as Parma Western only has a boys JV team. Coldwater took the JV contest 21 to 9. The boys were led by Brady Hawver with a 140 game. The girls were led by Ashlyn Caswell with a 129.
