ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – An initial hearing was held in Steuben County on Wednesday for one of the suspects who has been charged in connection with numerous burglaries and auto thefts at the Clear Lake Storage Garages.
32-year-old Devin Hill, who has a listed address in Tipton, has been charged with 15 felony burglary counts by the Steuben County Prosecutors Office.
21-year-old Ryan J. Damron of Fremont, Indiana is facing the same amount of charges.
The Herald-Republican in Angola reports there is a third suspect in the case.
The crimes at the storage garages south of Clear Lake on State Road 120 were discovered during the morning of August 14, 2021.
At the time the arrest warrants were issued, Damron and Hill were in the Hillsdale County Jail on Michigan charges related to the Steuben County case.
Bond for Hill was set during Wednesday’s initial hearing at $50,000 with no ten percent allowed. The case will go through Steuben Superior Court where a pre-trial conference was scheduled for June 13.
