COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved an agreement between the City and the Police Officers Labor Council which represents four Coldwater Police Officers on Monday night.
The four year agreement would be retroactive to July 1, 2020 and expires on June 30, 2024.
City Manager Keith Baker said the terms of the contract are the result of a binding arbitration settlement hearing and agreement on two matters.
It includes language clarifications and an annual three percent salary increase for the first two years followed by a two percent increase for the second two years.
City Manager Keith Baker says this is in keeping with the City’s budget projections and the wage increases provided to the City’s non-union employees for the current and previous fiscal years.
The employer’s contribution to the employee’s defined contribution retirement plan has been increased four percent to a total of 14 percent.
The paid vacation schedule has been adjusted for employees between 15 and 20 years of service.
