COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – For the second straight year, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced organizers of the annual Branch County Farmer’s Day at the Branch Area Careers Center to cancel the event which is put on the Branch County Agri-Business Council, Michigan State University Extension and the Branch Area Careers Center.
The 2022 event was scheduled to be held on Monday which is President’s Day.
DOVE Ag Services of Union City reminds everybody that in light of the decision to cancel Farmers Day, the M.S.U. Extension field crops team in southwest Michigan has chosen to offer an alternative educational session to farmers and agribusiness representatives at the Dearth Community Center.
In addition, pesticide applicator training will take place at the Dearth Center from 8:00 a.m. until noon with testing scheduled from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m..
A brochure on Monday’s program has been posted at the DOVE Ag Services Facebook page.
The programs are being presented free of charge as they are sponsored by DOVE Ag Services, Nutrien Ag Solutions of Mendon and Reading, Ceres Solutions of Coldwater and the Anderson Farm Center in Litchfield
