COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to take formal action on Tuesday to increase the hours for the Commission of Aging’s In Home Services Assistant.
The employee is currently budgeted to work between 12 and 15 hours per week. C.O.A. Director Amy Duff says their Board of Directors has approved a weekly increase to 20 hours.
She told Commissioners during their work session on Thursday there were some budget savings when the Burnside Center was closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The change would be effective on March 1 and would cost the Commission on Aging $5,000 per year.
