LANSING, MI (WTVB AM/FM) – Two Coldwater High School graduates were among the 50 graduates of the 140th Michigan State Police Trooper Recruit School Thursday.
Bakeel Abdullah and Nasser Nagi will now both be assigned to the Marshall Post, which covers Branch, Calhoun, and St. Joseph counties.
The Recruit School began last August with 74 prospective troopers at the MSP Training Academy in Lansing. Governor Gretchen Whitmer was the keynote speaker for the graduation ceremony in Lansing.
Nagi graduated from Coldwater High School in 2018, while Abdullah graduated in 2019.
The next Trooper Recruit School will begin in March.
