BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory which includes Branch County that is in effect from 200 p.m. Thursday afternoon to 800 a.m. Friday morning.
Forecasters say a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected with total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of less than one tenth of an inch.
The advisory covers portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio. The greatest potential for light ice accumulations is expected to stay south of Michigan.
Most of the mixed precipitation and the potential of light ice accumulations is expected Thursday night.
Drivers can plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
