COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater used an 18-7 third quarter to beat Harper Creek 49-40 on Senior Night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. In the process, they ended a 4-game losing streak and wrapped up the regular season on a positive note.
Freshman Elli Foley poured in a game high 17 points to go along with 6 steals and 4 assists. Mallory Wilber had 10 points and 5 rebounds, while Anna DeMeester added 9 points and 6 boards.
Coldwater improved to 11-9 overall and finished fifth in the Interstate 8 at 7-7.
The Cardinals will travel to the Battle Creek Central Fieldhouse Monday to take on the host Bearcats in the opening game of an MHSAA Division 1 District. Game time will be 5:30 p.m., and live coverage on WTVB will begin at 5:20 p.m., right after Monday’s Evening Journal.
