BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – After the Centers for Disease Control lifted the mask requirement for school buses last Friday, all of the Branch County school districts followed suit.
As of Monday, masks were no longer required for students on school buses in the Coldwater, Bronson, Union City and Quincy school districts.
The new order from the C.D.C. means the wearing of masks is no longer required on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems including early care and education/child care programs.
The wearing of masks on school buses is still optional.
The CDC issued an order that went into effect on February 1, 2021 which required face masks to be worn on public transportation.
The Transportation Safety Administration has extended the face mask requirement for other forms of public transportation through March 18, 2022.
