COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Six criminal cases filed against a 36-year-old Coldwater man have been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court.
William Sowards has been charged in the February 13 break-in at the Coldwater Golf Course clubhouse along with break-ins at other area businesses since October 21, 2021.
He is scheduled to appear for a Circuit Court arraignment on Monday.
Sowards is facing six counts of Breaking and Entering a Building, one count of Breaking and Entering a Coin Machine, one count of Possession of Burglary Tools, and one count of Malicious Destruction of Personal Property over $200 but less than $1000.
Sowards was arrested on the morning of the Golf Course break in after the State Police got a tip he was near the Shell gas station at U.S. 12 and Western Avenue in Coldwater.
He has been charged in connection with five other Breaking and Entering complaints involving Pines Behavioral Health, Karim Healthcare, Cornwell Computers, Virginia Manor Apartments, and Snyder’s Laundry Mat.
